Appetizer Party- Emily's Birthday

Good Food + Good Friends = Good Combination

I had a appetizer/suprise birthday party for Emily.
Needless to say, the other guest were not there when the
birthday lady arrived so we waited to break the surprise.
She was still very surprised, so I guess all good things take time.

The table and James' stuffed peppers (on the left)

Made by Emily and Katrina (yes, the birthday lady brought food to her own party)
that way she suspected nothing. p.s. I forget the name of this one.

Lou's stuffed mushrooms

Jessica's pinwheels

John's scallops

Jim's marinated tomatoes

Hope's birthday cakes

Wes and Hope's Iced coffee

Everyone brought an appetizer, which really made having the party easy.
Thanks for having a birthday, Emily, please have one again next year.

  1. ok,, that is just not right.. How come I wasn't invited :)

  2. This is Aunt Barbara and Rebecca. Our mouths are watering. Everything looks wonderful. We would love to have cooking lessons :)

  3. The pictures are "Cookbook" quality! And the food looks so yummy! Who is the Emily that had a birthday?

  4. Aunt Polly- the party was for Emily Martin, a girl I work with.

  5. I'd love to know the recipe for the iced coffees. I've been making some....and would love to try another one. The party looks lovely! By the way, your wedding was beautiful too!

  6. This was such a fun evening!! I think we should do this again, if not with that group get another group together. Always good times at your house!

  7. May I please have your recipe for iced coffee? Please?? :-)

  8. Hmmm... recipe? For one tall glass- I heat a small amount of water and dissolve one spoonful of instant coffee and sugar. Fill your glass with ice and pour the coffee over the ice and stir. Top the glass off with milk and drizzle in some chocolate syrup. Hope this helps! I dump and taste for large amounts but use the same concept.
