because I have the spring fever- I guess kitchen tools have nothing to do with spring. Mostly because I really do love all my blog followers. I love getting feedback from, you, who are interested in what I am interested in.
I want to give you some of my favorite kitchen tools. All used in my kitchen very often.
A set of stainless steel shakers with no lids to mess with and these guys give a nice even sprinkle. This handy mini grater is great for zesting lemons or grating Parmesan cheese. A sturdy Norpro whisk and an all silicon spatula are my best friends. My diligent plastic scraper to scrape crusty pans or dough off my counter top. A little taste of vanilla bean paste, the ingredient that changed my life forever. No more imitation vanilla. Bars and cookies scoop beautifully with this wooden handled spatula and can be cut in one swoop with this sharp Rada knife. Icing a cake or cookies with an angled spatula really is relaxing. No more stress- it all smooths out with one swipe.
To enter just answer the following question, here is where the spring part comes in.
What is your favorite food to make in the spring?
It can be anything- the first vegetables from your garden,
or a creamy lemon dessert.
Deadline March 23.
In order to enter to win you must be a follower of my blog. However, you can become a new follower and enter to win as well. No shipping outside USA and Canada. I did that for you Parla:)

What fun... And how to pick just one thing? I love to run out and cut a big bowl of lettuces, radishes, and whatever else is in my salad garden for a fresh spring salad, but we probably look forward to strawberries more tha anything. We love strawberry shortcake, strawberries on waffles or French toast, strawberry-spinach salad... Just about anything involving them fresh. Am I a follower of your blog? My girls and I both enjoy it tremendously and check on you quite frequently, but I don't think I'm signed up anywhere. I' ll try to figure it out. Thanks, Hope!

ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower and found you through "Blissfully Content Life." Since I live in the northern regions of North Dakota, we really don't see the first signs of spring till May but for all purposes, I still like to make something special in hope to coax the warm weather to come early. I love to bake bread. Warm, yeasty, hearty breads that fill your heart with hope, even when it's bone chilling cold outside, yeast will rise in our home and make the most delicious breads. Wishing you warm days and happy cooking, Mandy

Oh wow! The thought of spring makes me smile although with 3 ft. of snow on the ground it seems like a distant dream. My first thoughts go to fresh mint tea with lemon and strawberry spinach salad. BTW, I'm your MIL's cousin. ~Laura

One of my favorite spring meals is grilled chicken, fresh sugar peas, a crunchy garden salad, and fresh strawberries eaten out on the patio! And many recipes have come from your blog!

I started following your blog in the last year and have enjoyed seeing your talents here. You even inspired me to make homemade marshmallows over the holidays. :-) i think of fun desserts for spring/easter. Like one year i made a "flower" cake using an angel food cake and cutting from the center to form petals. The frosting is cool whip sprinkled with coconut and you fill the center with strawberry slices. Another yummy dessert (i like any time of year) that i had a slice of today, the first day of spring, is a new york style cheesecake with a lemon buttery sauce. Yummo :-)
